It is close to shopping, dining, movie theater, schools, freeways, medical facilities and Lake Wylie.  Located in southwest Charlotte, Chapel Cove offers a scenic and relaxing lifestyle in one of the premier lake communities that Charlotte North Carolina has to offer.  It is on Shopton Road West past the bridge if you are coming from Berewick Towne Center by I-485.

What Are The Amenities at Chapel Cove?

At Chapel Cove, you will find beautiful homes from one story to 3-story, from 2,500 sq. ft to over 6,000 sq. ft from the high 400’s to over a million dollar.  Chapel Cove residents take pride in their homes by maintaining the curb appeal, keeping lawns well-manicured and working together with their neighbors to make sure the home value of their homes stay intact.  Homeowners at Chapel Cove enjoy the amazing neighborhood amenities such as large outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, clubhouse, playground, pocket parks, recreation area, fitness center, basketball court, pickle-ball court, walking trails, canoe and kayak launch site.

Who Are The Builders at Chapel Cove?

The first phase of Chapel Cove was built by known local builders such as Simonini Homes, Lifestyle Builders, Grainda Builders and many other custom home builders from 2008 to 2013, followed by the national builder Standard Pacific later known as CalAtlantic Group.  

Then in 2015 up to 2019, Taylor Morrison and Fielding Homes finished up the Southern part of Shopton West Road parcels of land. 

Taylor Morrison homes are spacious, open floor plans with distinctive details.  You will love their precise standards of quality, style and craftmanship with their goal of building a home that reflects one’ s personal style.

The Fielding Homes are arts and crafts style with covered front porch, tapered columns that support the roof. You will notice that the gable roofs, the classic triangle, are embellished with rafters and trims. Some floor plans have the owner’s suite on the main level in addition to a formal dining room and private study to maximize the first floor living space.  Fielding Homes are a mixture of one-story and 2-story homes.

And now the newer part of Chapel Cove built by Pulte Homes.  Most of the Pulte Homes are 2-story homes with a variety of floor plans and different elevations.  The whole Northern part of Shopton West was acquired by Pulte Homes where they started building in 2016 up to the present time.  This phase is completely sold out. However, you will still see homes that are under construction and will be finishing towards the end of this year 2021 and early 2022. There are a few waterfront homes in this section of Chapel Cove.

What Are The Stores Near Chapel Cove?

Chapel Cove is so close to everything. On Shopton West heading NorthEast, the nearby shopping center called Berewick Towne Center has Harris Supermarket as the anchor store.  You will also find several restaurants, Starbucks, shopping, gas stations, car wash, fast food restaurants, hotels, dental and medical offices and an animal hospital.

Charlotte Premium Outlet is just a stone’s throw away from Berewick Towne Center.  It is Charlotte’s newest upscale outlet center featuring collections from Saks OFF Fifth, Coach, Michael Kors, Mark Jacob, Ralph Lauren, Johnston & Murphy, etc.

I-485 is more or less 3 miles away from Chapel Cove and Charlotte Douglas International Airport is just a short 15 to 20 minute-drive.  From Exit 4 on Berewick Towne Center take Exit 1 and head over to Ayrsley Town.  Ayrsley is a mixed-used walkable community with townhomes, apartments and shops.  Stroll down Ayrsley Town Boulevard and pop in one of the 20 restaurants & bars or see a movie at Ayrsley Grand Cinemas 14 with your family or friends.

On the other side of the freeway are Lowes Home Improvement, Walmart, more shops and restaurants.

Want more shopping? From Chapel Cove, take Southwest on Shopton West and you will get to this huge Rivergate Shopping Center that spans the four corners of Tryon and Steele Creek Road.
